Ivan Voronich, who held the position of senior operative in the 1st department of the 16th directorate of the SBU's Alpha Special Operations Centre, was shot dead in Kyiv.

The SBU colonel was killed in the Holosiivskyi district. An unknown man shot him five times with a silenced pistol and then fled the scene.

Voronich had been working for the SBU since 2014.
