Attend Mass as if it is your first last and only time!!

I attended daily Mass a few weeks ago and the priest talked about a little board that hangs in the sacristies of the Sisters of the Missionaries of Charity (the organization that Mother Teresa founded), that reads, “Priest of God, Celebrate this Mass as if it is your first Mass, Your last Mass and your only Mass.” But this doesn’t have to apply only to priests. It can apply to all of us laypeople as well!!!

When we meet him in heaven, Jesus will have no more glory — not one bit more — than he has now when he comes to us in the Eucharist. How can He for how can He have more glory than Himself? Jesus in the Eucharist is the exact same Jesus we will meet in heaven, just in a different form. Feel awe and wonder, gratitude, reverence and adoration every time you go to Masss….as if it is your first time, your last time, and your only time!!
