Kdenlive Quality Rendering

Quality and size matter, if you want the best looking video. But how important is quality?

I decide to use this video that I rendered a while ago and used two types of codec rendering. The H264 (or AAC) and the H265 (also HEVC), to test if smaller files but keeping video quality is better.
The default quality for Kdenlive rendering is 75% quality, or CRF 23. The maxium for you can go is CRF 15 and the minium is CRF 45. All the videos are rendered in a very slow speed preset and no audio tracks.

The H264 codec is fast and reliable for quick video rendering. The videos was fine for the 100 to 70% quality, until you see some compression artifacts.
The other hand, H265 codec. Better than the AAC but requires more compute time to render a video. Better videos for the 100 to 40% quality until the same thing. While keeping the file size small.

So that's all for this long, long description of video benchmarking. Or maybe not. BUT enjoy!
