One day, a Jewish funeral procession passed by the Prophet ﷺ.
He stood up in respect.

The Sahaba asked, “O Messenger of Allah, he was a Jew!”
The Prophet ﷺ replied:
“Was he not a soul?” (Bukhari, Muslim)
