In 2010, this video was created by me as a tribute to the 100th anniversary of Russian-Latvian Scouting, solemnly commemorated on April 30, 2009.
The footage used in the video was graciously provided by Vera Zolotareva — a Scout instructor and representative of the Scout movement in Latvia. Her dedication to preserving this heritage and passing it on to new generations formed a meaningful foundation for this work.
Since the establishment of the first Russian Scout troop in Pavlovsk in 1909, the movement has grown like a stream into a wide river, connecting young people from Russia, Latvia, and beyond.
Within these frames lives the breath of history, the warmth of memory, the spirit of brotherhood, and the calling to serve.
This video is my heartfelt tribute to the story, the people, and the ideals that — like the flame of a campfire — continue to burn in the hearts of those who seek the path, friendship, and kindness.
