Assisted suicide: compassion or control?

What feels compassionate can sometimes be the cleverest tool of control.

Across countries like England & Wales, Canada, Delaware, and several U.S. states, assisted dying laws are being rolled out under the banner of choice and care

But after 2020, do you really want a doctor you don’t know making irreversible decisions for you?

This isn't conspiracy—it’s real policy. In the Netherlands, a woman with treatment-resistant psychiatric issues, Zoraya ter Beek, was granted euthanasia against her family’s wishes, and in 2021 the heartbreaking story of Grace Schara in the Netherlands, a 19‑year‑old woman with Down syndrome was euthanised against her family’s wishes, when she was admitted to hospital with supposedly Covid— physically healthy but judged that her life’s quality wasn’t enough to continue

It happened not because she wanted it—but because the system allowed it.

In this clip from my Deprogrammed convo with Lisa Clegg‑Stone (author of The Resonant Code), we dig into how the language of compassion can mask policies that risk the vulnerable.

Think twice before buying the narrative that more laws = more care.
