Week 24 Readings of our 2025 Chronological Bible-in-a-Year Reading Challenge see us delve deeper into the prophetic warnings spoken just prior to the fall of the Northern Kingdom of Israel to the Assyrians; including from the prophets Hosea and Isaiah.

In this tutorial, Chad Mansbridge explains how each pronouncement of covenant judgement upon Samaria was accompanied with a prophetic promise of hope for restoration somehow, and at some point, in the future.

The Book of Hosea introduces us to the motif of Gods covenant 'marriage' to Israel, with her idolatry described as an act of adultery against her covenant-husband, resulting in her death and divorce.

See Chad's message 'The Tale of God's Three Brides' for a fun and insightful look at the divine-marriage theme through the Scripture: https://youtu.be/i-x_TYKVBvg
