Missing

I still set the table for two,
Even though it’s only me and the view.
Your coffee cup still knows its place,
Like I’m waiting for your face.

It’s not the silence that breaks my heart,
It’s how you’re gone, yet not that far…

I’m missing — not just your touch,
But the way you made the quiet hush.
Every laugh, every sigh,
Still echoes through this sky.
I’m missing — like a song undone,
Like night still waiting for the sun.
You’re not here, but still I feel…
This missing — loud and real.

I keep your coat by the door,
Like you might walk in once more.
Your name still dances in my head,
More alive than what you said.

It’s not the end, it’s not goodbye,
It’s the empty space you occupy...

I’m missing — like rain in June,
Like a faded voice beneath the moon.
Not a storm, not a scream,
Just the ache of a dream.
I’m missing — like a kiss not caught,
Like a promise I forgot.
Time moves on, but I just feel…
This missing, sharp and real.

You’re not a ghost, but you’re not near,
And I still check when no one’s here.
Every hour, I still replay…
The version of us that slipped away.

I’m missing — and it won’t let go,
Like a river missing its flow.
I still believe in what we were,
But missing you is all that stirs.
I’m missing — in the space between,
What I had and what I’ve seen.
You’re not gone… but not with me…
So I keep missing
Endlessly.
