Batocera on the basic RG35XX, Is it any better?

So, I wanted to see how Koriki would run on my RG35XX handheld, since Garlic OS hasn't been updated in quite a long time. There are still some things that could be smoothed out, but I think I still prefer Garlic over Batorcera, especially for battery life.
