His litter was dumped in the desert by cruel humans, but he's safe now.

Finwood spent the first two-years of his life looking for trash at truck stops in the desert. His bothers and sister formed a pack. When I first met them I set up a feeding station that kept them fed for years. Slowly Finwood and three others began to count on us and eventually joined us here at DELTA Rescue. But two others never did. Sad.

But Linwood here is up front across the driveway from our hospital, so he watches our whole operation daily. He's done this for the last six-years. Being white, he and his sister are always getting their cancers removed, cancers from the hot desert sun where they were abandoned. People just don't know how abandoned animals suffer and die when discarded like old shoes. And I think even old shoes get a better deal.

Thanks to a freak flood in my home, in this video I share my favorite photo of all time, which I found while moving things away from the water-soaked carpet. Shot on film 30-years-ago, I can feel that puppy across the ages. Maybe someday the pictures I took of Finwood in this video will be just as moving.
