Stand-up Comedy: Public Divorce on Social Media

Celebrities have their relationships—marriages/divorces—plastered across the infotainment “news” media.

Gossip websites create names—Bennifer, Brangelina, TomKat—and the unwashed masses drool over every update.

But your average, everyday civilian gets involved in public breakups because of social media.

They post their anger, their pain, their vitriol… and even their healing.

This joke is a true story involving a buddy of mine who went through some painful times, and then possibly over-corrected when coming out the other side.

I can’t really judge, though.

We’ve all been there.

At least, those of us with a heart have.

Anyway, the best stand-up comedy is usually a personal story, because no one can say you stole that.
