MRF-D 24.3: Ospreys Deploy Marines for WADER in Australia

RAAF BASE TOWNSVILLE, AUSTRALIA – June 9, 2024

MV-22B Ospreys from Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron 268 (Reinforced), Marine Rotational Force – Darwin 24.3, launch from RAAF Base Townsville, transporting U.S. Marines to Darwin after disembarking HMAS Adelaide (L01). This movement supports WADER, a bilateral amphibious training operation with Australian forces.

The evolution includes deck landing qualifications, live-fire deck shoots, joint medical exchanges, and amphibious fire coordination. These integrated operations sharpen readiness and strengthen interoperability across the Indo-Pacific.
