Fading

Your voice was once my favorite sound,
Now it’s an echo, barely found.
The colors we painted start to blur,
And I forget the way things were.

Every word is thinner now,
Like smoke that slips from lips somehow.

We’re fading — like stars before the day,
Like footsteps washed away.
I reach but you’re not staying,
You're slipping, you’re swaying.
We’re fading — like whispers in the wind,
Like songs that never end.
No goodbyes, just breaking…
Quietly, we’re fading.

Once we burned in every breath,
Now we’re shadows fearing death.
Your name used to bloom in me,
Now it wilts so silently.

I feel you less in every night,
A candle losing all its light.

We’re fading — like photographs in rain,
Like laughter after pain.
So soft, we’re barely aching,
Still loving, still breaking.
We’re fading — not lost, but not the same,
No fire, no flame.
Like memories we’re trading…
Softly, we’re fading.

No crash, no fight, no storm to see,
Just silence swallowing you and me.
Sometimes love just disappears,
Not in anger — only tears.

We’re fading — like autumn into frost,
Like knowing what we lost.
I still see you, still praying,
But I know we’re decaying.
We’re fading — not gone, but out of view,
Me from me, and you from you.
No regrets worth saving…
Only love…
Fading.
