Betrayed

I gave you truth with open hands,
You gave me lies I didn’t understand.
I built a home inside your name,
But you were fire masked as flame.

You looked me in the eyes and smiled,
While hiding knives behind your style…

I was betrayed — not by fate,
But by the love I didn’t hate.
You said forever like a vow,
But where are all your promises now?
I was betrayed — soft and slow,
By someone I thought I used to know.
You didn’t leave, you just decayed…
And that’s how love
Gets betrayed.

I told you secrets I don’t tell,
You turned them into chains in hell.
I held your storm and stayed through rain,
But you just watched me drown in pain.

You let me fall so you could climb,
And smiled like it wasn’t a crime…

I was betrayed — not in war,
But in the silence behind the door.
You kissed my lips, then kissed goodbye,
Without a reason, without a why.
I was betrayed — by what was true,
By the version of love I saw in you.
And though I begged, you just obeyed…
The cruelest part
Of being betrayed.

Trust is glass — you cracked it slow,
Smiling like I’d never know.
But I felt the fracture in my sleep…
Even angels learn to weep.

I was betrayed — not in rage,
But like a story torn from page.
You left your mark without a word,
A cut too deep to be heard.
I was betrayed — and now I see,
That love was never meant for me.
You said you'd stay, but chose the blade…
And now I live
With what you betrayed.
