Although the true Israel of God is the church, national Israel still has a role to play in God’s prophetic plan for the future. God still deals with Jews and Gentiles corporately. I reference and refute an article in The Federalist by a pastor claiming “Christian support for Israel is bizarre and misguided. The modern nation of Israel should not be treated as theologically special.” Forces against God’s plan for Israel are even working in the church.
