4 levels of studying scripture:
Pardes (par-dez), meaning orchard.

P'shat - the literal meaning. It means what it says and it says what it means.

Remez- a hint, an allegory. A metaphor or similitude. Does there seem to be something out of place? Why? If the Lord makes no mistakes, what does this mean? Why is my attention being drawn here?

Drosh - application. What is this telling me? How does the Lord want me to take this and use it? How does it apply to MY LIFE, my LESSONS. How do I use this to sharpen my sword?

Sod - the deeper mystery. The TREASURE, the diamond. The thing 99 people out of 100 (or 1 million) only read over. The Hebrew, the symbols, the gematria. Does it tell who it's from? Is there a pattern for the future? Does it tie into the New Testament? Who what where and when? Does it lead you down a path through the word you never even considered before?

And how does one go about an orchard? We walk around observing, looking for fruit which to consume to nourish us. Do you go looking for the hardest piece of fruit right out of the gate? Do you say: "I'm going to carry the big, heavy ladder to the fruit trees, or climb for the hardest piece of fruit to reach right out the gate?
Or do we look for the easy stuff first? Find that which is in reach, easy to get at? And THEN, move onto the harder stuff?

We look for the ripe fruit, that which is READY to be eaten. We look for the best parts, are discerning what is ready. Do you go looking for the 2nd or 3rd best apples? No- we want the best ones AT THE TIME WE ARE THERE.

And having espied one that seems good, we reach, and inspect it further having gained it in our hands. Looking it over, inspecting more deeply the parts which, from our previous point of view were hidden to us.

Then later, when all the low hanging, easy stuff is gone - we get the big ladder. Because the orchard is DELICIOUS. And these apples (or whatever fruit is in your metaphorical orchards right now :), were made by GOD, by the Lord Almighty.
And to get into Yaweh's orchard can only come by way of Yeshua.

resh -thinking, cerebral. The letter "Resh" looks exactly like a bet (which ties to Yeshua) with a foundation. We will cover it soon but means the head, prince. The head of the house. Even the gematria tie together 2 and 200. Who got you to this orchard? Many people read THE WORDS of the bible, but how many UNDERSTAND the bible? Those that came by way of the Lord, Jesus, come to the deeper meanings. AND can go further-
drosh- dalet 4, the humble man, bowing. Application by those wishing to follow God's words. The humble made wise by applying and not just listening to what is being conveyed. The WISE apply God's words - it has nothing to do with intelligence. Infact, "intelligence" and PRIDE in thinking oneself smart or great. Can be an anchor around one's own neck. Was it REALLY our "intelligence" which brought us here?
Sod - The support, or encirclement. Looks like a ladder. If you think there is some value to my "wineskin, or vessel" theory - then pouring out of the deepest meanings. Instead of thinking 1 apple ok, the next apple good. The apple gets better and better with each bite. The chewing sweeter and sweeter. The nourishing better and better.
It takes a lot less perfect apples to feel deeply satiated, than filling oneself with ok apples.

So I'll take an example from myself on how this might work. When I was searching for the Lord and reading the word - I would "read" the Bible once a year. But as you may notice I was not "living" in the word, I was going through it. A section at a time I would do either the whole thing, or just the New Testament. The first couple times it was the whole thing and it might take me 7 or 8 months out of a year. Parts that seemed incredible, or "unrealistic" (LMAO) I skipped over. Long genealogies- blah, blah, blah, got it check - goes back a long way. Yada, yada - ok, the Lord wants me to be a better person or at least try. I said prayers here and there, off and on - mostly pertaning to myself, about this matter (the Lord's prayer, psalm 23, etc. "preformatted prayers, repetitive).
I probably read over the "burning bush" scene 5 or 6 times. Wow- wierd, ok - so be it. Wasn't like I didn't believe it - I just didn't understand or see how. I READ it, but I didn't THINK about it. I read it over, and moved forward. But the NEXT time, and I wasn't thinking about doing this it just happened-
It REALLY STRUCK me-
Hold on, how is the bush not consumed? How can it be on fire, being spoken through by God and NOT utterly destroyed? How can it remain? What is the Lord saying to me here- besides what he is conveying by the conversation played out on the pages?
What is the Lord trying to tell me? It was an inspiration, I remember my heart quickening (like it often does now), like I was being shown a secret nobody else knew (hahahaha, yeah- nobody else lol).

So...The Lord...creation, and destruction,
at the same time.
Unconsumed-
perpetual-

I went away and chewed on this in my mind, considering.
THAT'S quantum mechanics-
that is a 1 and a zero at the same time.
That is an eternal state of being.
That is outside of time itself.
That is way more than a "singularity" of one point- that's a whole field of particles acting together from across a dimension of unknown space -
COMPLETELY at the whim of my Lord.

This led me to a whole new understanding of the Lord AND the Word of God, AND the lessons. That led me down the orchard path to MUCH fruit. I hadn't gotten any smarter (trust me - I'm not so bright...often lol) - I didn't need to be.
I had gone from reading-
to listening-
to hearing-
to understanding-
and it wasn't even about the things the bush SAID!
A lot changed for me from that point onward, and that was a while back.
Did that stop me from sinning?
NO
But it was like finding a pearl of great wealth in a field I previously thought had a, soon to be dead bush in it.
I started reading and listening differently to the Lord.
I was changed, and I had done relatively NOTHING to do with it.
The Lord makes geniuses out of idiots....
as long as they don't believe themselves geniuses and remain humble (lol, paradox).
All glory and power to God Yaweh Almighty!

thank you for taking me in though I don't deserve it.
Thank you for saving a black out, obliterated, suicidal
