On June 7th, 2023, deputies from the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office responded to a disturbance call near a highway. According to witnesses, a woman was reportedly involved in a heated altercation with another individual. When the deputies approached to de-escalate the situation, it quickly escalated instead.

She was charged with two felonies, battery on a law enforcement officer and resisting with violence.
