The objective is to score points through clean, effective punches or win by knockout (KO), technical knockout (TKO), or judges' decision. A typical boxing match is divided into timed rounds, usually lasting three minutes with a one-minute rest between.

Boxing requires a combination of speed, strength, strategy, and endurance. Fighters use various techniques such as jabs, hooks, uppercuts, and footwork to outmaneuver and overpower their opponents. Defense is just as crucial as offense, involving blocking, slipping, and dodging punches.
