Amon: The Apocalypse of Devilman (2000)

Set in a world descending into chaos, the story begins after humanity discovers the existence of demons. Fear, paranoia, and hatred spread, leading to violent persecution of anyone suspected of being one. When Miki is brutally killed by a human mob, Akira loses control of his emotions—and Devilman’s alter ego, Amon, the ancient and violent demon, starts to emerge and take over.

The OVA explores the internal battle between Akira and Amon for control of his body, while the outside world continues to fall apart. It dives deep into themes of identity, rage, humanity, and despair, showcasing graphic violence and intense psychological horror.
