If you are reading this you may have read the title of this podcast and wondered what it is about. There is a homeless encampment in Bethlehem PA and I was the first comedian crazy enough to interview some people surviving including United States Military Veterans who are currently homeless, which may be the most unpatriotic stat I have heard since Biden was in office. Stay tuned for the next podcast for all the positives Bethlehem Does. Last thing, there never can be enough co-organizers for fundraising. If you are a veteran and want to help co-organize the go fund me, please reach out at the link below.

Episode Description:
In this eye-opening episode, Ross of Nazareth takes a walk just a quarter mile from America’s “Best Main Street” to the growing encampment behind Bethlehem’s iconic Steel Stacks — now a mini Skid Row. Meth addiction, mental illness, and economic collapse have pushed pregnant women, ex-cons, and United States Army veterans to the margins of society — right in the shadow of a thriving arts district.

Ross sits down with homeless veterans and formerly incarcerated individuals to hear raw, unfiltered stories of survival, betrayal, and grit. One vet shares how he walks over a mile and a half just to access clean water. Another opens up about being left behind by the system he once served.

Local veterans have stepped up to launch a GoFundMe campaign to provide real support — tents, water, food, and hotel stays — so their fellow vets don’t have to sleep on cold concrete. I never did a go fund me, so we are working on transferring the ownership to a legitimate veteran organization.
