Traces of You

I found a note you left behind,
A line or two, a frozen time.
Your handwriting, still so clear,
Like you're whispering in my ear.

The hallway hums your favorite tune,
The kind we danced to beneath the moon.
And every frame still holds your face,
In corners I can’t erase.

There are traces of you in everything,
In the morning light, in the songs I sing.
In the quiet rain, in the midnight blue,
I still find traces… traces of you.
Though you're gone, and life feels new,
I still breathe in the traces of you.

Your jacket’s draped across the chair,
I keep it there like you still care.
And when the world feels far too loud,
Your memory brings me back somehow.

I’ve tried to move, I’ve tried to grow,
But some things we’re not meant to outgrow.
You're not the past, you're something true—
A living piece that time can’t undo.

There are traces of you in everything,
In every laugh, in every sting.
You're the warmth in winter’s hue,
A soft hello that breaks right through.
Though we’re apart, my heart still knew—
I’d always live with
Traces of you.
