Traces of You

I passed the park where we once sat,
You in your hoodie, me in my hat.
The world stood still, the sky was blue,
Now all that’s left are traces of you.

I keep your notes in a weathered box,
Tied with string and old wristwatch.
Your words still speak when days feel long,
Like distant echoes of our song.

You're in the wind that calls my name,
In the quiet after rain.
