Note: This was around the time in the Southland where there was a major Whittier Earthquake and the following week, the Stock Market Crash at Wall Street in New York.

Gene Siskel & Roger Ebert reviews "Surrender" (A Warner Bros./Cannon Group production that bombed at the Box Office of a romantic comedy with Michael Caine, Sally Field, Steve Guttenberg, Julie Kavner and Peter Boyle.); "House of Games" (An Incredible Movie from Playwright Writer/Director, David Mamet in his theatrical debut! Starring Joe Mantegna (Mia, who was first born a few months when it came out and sister Gia's father and long before he played FBI Agent, David Rossi from "Criminal Minds" and the voice of "Fat Tony" from "The Simpsons!"), Lindsay Crouse and Ricky Jay. This review has a special moment because of how the film outsmarts and outthinks Siskel and maybe, Ebert for an argument!); "Someone to Watch Over Me" (Underrated Thriller from Director, Ridley Scott. Starring: Tom Berenger, Mimi Rogers and Lorraine Bracco.); "Dancers" and "Maurice".

No "Home Video" segment that week. And a recap of Today's program.

Recorded on KGW NBC 8 in Portland, Oregon with Commercials intact.
