This was no ordinary climbing spot — it’s a hidden gem, tucked away near Vegas, and it was quite the journey to find it. In this POV immersive climbing video, you’ll step into my shoes and experience the thrill of scaling these rugged cliffs and unique formations, with no distractions—just the sound of heavy breathing, an expletive here and there, and the breathtaking views that unfold with every move. Deep in BLM land we had the pleasure of climbing in the heart of Nevada’s wild beauty. This video will transport you to a world of adventure, travel, and raw natural wonder.

**BACKSTORY**
Vegas climbing trip with some friends a few years ago, in the month of March. Nature was stacked against us as we planned to climb at Red Rocks that day, though it had rained hard the day before. We were still hopeful. We rose early morning and drove into the park, the sky overcast and gray, with more rain predicted that day.

We got to our first destination, and our first experience was intense, howling winds. Soldiering on, we reach our first wall to climb. Geared up and ready, as the first climber prepares their ascent... it starts drizzling. And then raining!

No climbing there. We grabbed our gear and marched back to the car, disheartened but not defeated. A friend suggested another spot he knew about, just off the road and easily accessible. We arrived and warmed up with a few ascents. The wall was not sunned at that time of day, and being in the shade was cold for the likes of us Texans. The climbing was decent but not what we hoped for.

That's when a climber in our group suggested this lesser known canyon spot he's always wanted to go to but never had. None of us had heard of it, but we all said "Let's do it". Little did we know we were in for a long hike in the desert sun, in BLM territory which may as well been No Man's Land. After a brutal, tiring hike (and getting lost a few times), we finally found the sport climbing in this hidden tucked away canyon. I only had energy left for 3 climbs after the day we had.

I don't remember anything about the details of where this spot was or the name of the wall, think you know it? Let me know in the comments.
