God will Deal with False Teachers

Paul gives a clear message to those who are following Christ. His message to all believers is to stay away from false teachers. In particular to the ones who create decisiveness with flattering speech and smooth words. These are the most dangerous kind of evil doers because they possess evil intent to harm you and may cause you to fall away from your relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. Evil exists and so does the ability to misguide people in particular part-time Christians. We know that false teaching existed in the first century church and we know that they exist in some of the churches today. False teachers wear many masks but as a true believer we see right through them all. Jesus warns of these false prophets in (Matthew 7:15) to beware of wolves in sheep's clothing.

As Christians we are to be wise and watchful of the false teachers because the wolves are everywhere and will strike when you least expect it (Matthew 10:16). Satan so hates God’s children that he will stop at nothing to get us to fall away. Fortunately for the true believer, Satan has no power over the true believer because we have overcome the evils of this world (1 John 4:4). If we are filled with the Holy Spirit we are covered by God, when Christ lives in us we know that we can overcome the most stressful and daunting situations because scripture teaches us that He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.

We know that God wins every battle and every war. He is the creator of the universe and no one can come against Him. The bible teaches us that when God is with us, then no one can come against us (Romans 8:31). When we believe this promise and we meditate on our word, God will be there to give us discernment to see the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth.

When we follow Christ we are filled with the Holy Spirit and it is through the Holy Spirit that we can discern who is good and who is evil (Hebrews 5:14). In other words we can discern the false teachers around us and we can certainly tell who is walking with Christ and who the posers are. It is through that discernment that God protects us through His warnings with the messages. These messages that we are receiving come from different sources in the media, from non-believers and even established ministries throughout the country and the world.

It is easy in most cases to determine if you really are in love with God and want to follow Jesus Christ with all your heart just by the way you act. It is through these actions and the way we speak that separate us from the rest of the world. Through the Lord Jesus Christ we have been given the opportunity to serve the Lord with all our hearts, mind, soul and strength for eternity. As true believers we should seize every opportunity that God puts in front of us to live a godly life, to allow the Holy Spirit and our relationship with Christ to share the gospel and good news that Jesus is coming soon. There is coming a time that we will be in the presence of our Lord and Savior for eternity, but before we get there we should seek God’s wisdom to know who God is through Jesus Christ and share our wisdom and knowledge with all that Lord puts in our path. To share the love, the joy and confidence in knowing that Jesus is on the throne sitting at God’s right hand and that all who truly believe in Jesus Christ can share in that same relationship we have with our Loving Father in heaven.

My prayer is that we would all want to know God more and that we would want to follow Christ for the rest of our days doing the work that He has put before us. I pray that God will pour His wisdom and knowledge into us so that we may share our relationship with Jesus making them aware that they can have the same relationship with Him if they repent of their sins, if they receive the Lord Jesus Christ as Lord and allow the Holy Spirit to lead their lives. In the Mighty Name of Jesus I pray Amen! Amen!
