In this video I will be continuing to translate Genesis 5 verse by verse. In this portion of scripture we read about Methuselah, Lamech (father of Noah), Noah and his sons Shem, Ham and Japheth. You can learn through immersion with this video series. In this chapter before the story of Noah's Ark, we look at the meaning behind what Noah’s name means and an interesting choice of words that Lamech says while naming him. He uses a root which means to sigh in Arabic, and in Hebrew means to comfort. I try to really get to the core meaning behind the text.
