🇨🇳 China hits back at the EU with medical device restrictions!

Beijing will block government purchases of EU medical devices worth over $6.3 million, in retaliation for Europe’s own procurement ban last month.

The EU had barred Chinese firms from bidding on $70 billion in tenders, citing unfair market access. China calls this protectionism and is also restricting devices from other countries if they contain over 50% EU-made parts.

👉 Plus, China slapped up to 34.9% tariffs on EU brandy, but spared big French cognac makers if they sell at a minimum price.
