Memories Never Lie

I saw your face in a passing crowd,
Heard your laugh when the world got loud.
Moments come like ocean tide,
Wash me back to when you were mine.

Photographs in shades of gold,
Stories that our hearts still hold.
The clock moves on, but not my soul—
You’re the piece that made me whole.

Memories never lie,
They pull me close, they make me cry.
You're still here in every sigh,
In the sunset, in the sky.
Though you're gone, you never die—
'Cause memories… they never lie.

The chair you loved still creaks at night,
As if you're there, beneath the light.
I sit and talk like you're around,
In every silence, you're the sound.

Seasons change and flowers fall,
But I still hear your midnight call.
The world may try to move ahead,
But I keep living what we said.

Memories never lie,
They bloom again though years go by.
You're still the spark, you're still the why,
Still the reason in my eyes.
Though you slipped beyond goodbye—
Memories… they never lie.

In every breath, in every try…
You live in me—
And memories never lie.
