Melania Trump's choice for US Independence Day

First Lady Melania Trump once again appeared alongside her husband at the Independence Day celebrations in a simple yet striking look. Melania wore a white button-down shirt by Thom Browne, with a small stripe of the American flag's three colors, red, navy, and white, sewn on the sides and back of the shirt and waist. She completed the simple white shirt with red snakeskin-patterned shoes by the famous French shoemaker Manolo Blahnik.

This color combination and choice of clothing subtly evoked the colors of the American flag, which, far from being excessive or ostentatious, was still a smart choice for the First Lady of America to celebrate American Independence Day.
