Through the Bible in 7 hours: session VI

Good morning all and welcome to the next installment of Through the Bible in 7 hours. This is session 6 or what looks like it is going to be 14. We are almost half way through this book and man it is very very good.

Let’s pray....

In case you haven’t figured it out yet, we aren’t going through the Bible book by book. We are going through and discussing the different areas in which you need to understand in order to make the Bible easy to ready. It doesn’t take a scholar to read the Bible. You don’t need a preacher or a college degree or anything like that. All you need to do is understand that there are different parts for different times. You have to rightly divide the Word of Truth.

There is one specific goal for the prophetic program, that is the coming of the messiah and the establishment of His kingdom on earth. Remember last week we talked about how heaven and earth were separated in the first verse of the Bible in order to establish two distinct realms? Well, that is again where the prophecy and mystery come in. The prophecy is for Israel and the earthly Kingdom. If you go and look at Daniel 2:28-45, you see Daniel interpreting a dream for king Nebuchadnezzar. In this dream Daniel tells him that the head, shoulder, belly, thighs and legs of this great statue were gentile kingdoms ruling and in verse 44 it says

[Dan 2:44 KJV] 44 And in the days of these kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed: and the kingdom shall not be left to other people, [but] it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand for ever.

This is saying that the God of heaven sets up a kingdom on earth. When the rock comes down and becomes a mountain and fills the whole earth and destroys all other kingdoms. That is when God fulfills this Kingdom on earth.

Now look with me at

[Isa 60:1-3 KJV] 1 Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee. 2 For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the LORD shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee. 3 And the Gentiles shall come to thy light, and kings to the brightness of thy rising.

And

[Zec 8:20-22 KJV] 20 Thus saith the LORD of hosts; [It shall] yet [come to pass], that there shall come people, and the inhabitants of many cities: 21 And the inhabitants of one [city] shall go to another, saying, Let us go speedily to pray before the LORD, and to seek the LORD of hosts: I will go also. 22 Yea, many people and strong nations shall come to seek the LORD of hosts in Jerusalem, and to pray before the LORD.

You can look at Gen 22:18 and Isaiah 60:1-3 as well, but the point that these verses are making is that God is going to establish a Kingdom on the earth for Israel and the heathen are going to have to go back to becoming part of THEM to be saved because the kingdom is going to be for the Jews.

We Gentiles are going to have to become proselyte jews or bless Israel which could then put them in a place to be blessed by Israel. Prophecy not Mystery.

THe difference between prophecy and mystery is that Prophecy has been made known since the world began and the Mystery was not made known until Jesus revealed it to Paul.

The hope of the nation of Israel was to be a kingdom of priests.

[Exo 19:3-6 KJV] 3 And Moses went up unto God, and the LORD called unto him out of the mountain, saying, Thus shalt thou say to the house of Jacob, and tell the children of Israel; 4 Ye have seen what I did unto the Egyptians, and [how] I bare you on eagles' wings, and brought you unto myself. 5 Now therefore, if ye will obey my voice indeed, and keep my covenant, then ye shall be a peculiar treasure unto me above all people: for all the earth [is] mine: 6 And ye shall be unto me a kingdom of priests, and an holy nation. These [are] the words which thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel.

This is the covenant, the prophecy, Israel and their hope to become what? verse 6, “and ye shall be unto me a kingdom of priests”.

What about here in

[Isa 61:6 KJV] 6 But ye shall be named the Priests of the LORD: [men] shall call you the Ministers of our God: ye shall eat the riches of the Gentiles, and in their glory shall ye boast yourselves.

You shall be named the priests of the Lord.

This hope is to be realized on earth....

[Gen 13:14-15 KJV] 14 And the LORD said unto Abram, after that Lot was separated from him, Lift up now thine eyes, and look from the place where thou art northward, and southward, and eastward, and westward: 15 For all the land which thou seest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed for ever.

This is clearly something that is going to happen in the future....

How do we know that it hasn’t happened yet? Well look back at verse 15, “for all the land which thou seest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed for ever”.

Do they have it forever? No, of course they don’t have it for ever yet. They aren’t set up as the kingdom on earth yet. See if they aren’t held higher right now, then they aren’t a kingdom. The Gentiles are held in just as high regard at this time because God is trying to make Israel jealous of us. He wants them to realize their sin and mistake by making them equal to the heathen, us.

Did you know that Job is the oldest book? Job was written before Genesis. Job was quoted in Genesis which tells us that Job came before. Just a little extra information for you.

Look now at

[Gen 17:6-8 KJV] 6 And I will make thee exceeding fruitful, and I will make nations of thee, and kings shall come out of thee. 7 And I will establish my covenant between me and thee and thy seed after thee in their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be a God unto thee, and to thy seed after thee. 8 And I will give unto thee, and to thy seed after thee, the land wherein thou art a stranger, all the land of Canaan, for an everlasting possession; and I will be their God.

Are you starting to see it now? Is this study helping you to realize different things that preachers are telling you things that are actually false? That they are taking the wrong information for the wrong time period?

It says that all the land of Canaan, for an everlasting possession. That is going to be the earthly kingdom in the future. There is no kingdom there now and they don’t have an everlasting possession over it right now. This is going to be the hope that IS TO BE realized on earth.

The earthly kingdom will be the fulfillment of the davidic covenant:

[2Sa 7:12-13 KJV] 12 And when thy days be fulfilled, and thou shalt sleep with thy fathers, I will set up thy seed after thee, which shall proceed out of thy bowels, and I will establish his kingdom. 13 He shall build an house for my name, and I will stablish the throne of his kingdom for ever.

Future, prophecy

[Psa 89:34-37 KJV] 34 My covenant will I not break, nor alter the thing that is gone out of my lips. 35 Once have I sworn by my holiness that I will not lie unto David. 36 His seed shall endure for ever, and his throne as the sun before me. 37 It shall be established for ever as the moon, and [as] a faithful witness in heaven. Selah.

What am I going to say here?

Future...prophecy

This Kingdom on earth is going to be centered at Jerusalem

[Isa 2:3 KJV] 3 And many people shall go and say, Come ye, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.

[Mat 5:35 KJV] 35 Nor by the earth; for it is his footstool: neither by Jerusalem; for it is the city of the great King.

[Luk 1:30-33 KJV] 30 And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God. 31 And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS. 32 He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David: 33 And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end.

All of this is saying that the King Jesus shall reign over the earth from Jerusalem.

God also says that the kingdom will extend to all of the earth:

[Psa 72:11 KJV] 11 Yea, all kings shall fall down before him: all nations shall serve him.

[Psa 2:8 KJV] 8 Ask of me, and I shall give [thee] the heathen [for] thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth [for] thy possession.

The government will be purified!!!!

[Isa 11:4 KJV] 4 But with righteousness shall he judge the poor, and reprove with equity for the meek of the earth: and he shall smite the earth with the rod of his mouth, and with the breath of his lips shall he slay the wicked.

[Isa 61:11 KJV] 11 For as the earth bringeth forth her bud, and as the garden causeth the things that are sown in it to spring forth; so the Lord GOD will cause righteousness and praise to spring forth before all the nations.

War and bloodshed will be abolished:

[Isa 2:4 KJV] 4 And he shall judge among the nations, and shall rebuke many people: and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruninghooks: nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more.

The animal creation will be tamed:

[Isa 11:6 KJV] 6 The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a little child shall lead them.

It will be through redeemed Israel that God will send blessings and salvation to the nations. This means that God gave Israel a prophetic time shedule for accomplishing the cleansing of the nation.

I’m going to give you the timeline here. If you read Daniel 9:24-27 you will see the timeline.

Now I'm going to read it and then break it down as best I can.

[Dan 9:24-27 KJV] 24 Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy. 25 Know therefore and understand, [that] from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince [shall be] seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times. 26 And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof [shall be] with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined. 27 And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make [it] desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.

70 weeks from a certain point and God is going to finish everything he’s got to do for the nation of Israel.

So from this point there is going to be a period of 7 weeks and a period of 62 weeks

So 7 and 62 is 69 which means there is one more week beyond this. That is where we get 70 weeks.

After the 62 weeks we have the days of the Messiah.

If you take 69x7 because each week is 7 years, you end up with 483 years from beginning to the end.

The starting point turns out to be Nehemiah ch. 2 which is 445 BC. if you take 483 minus 445, you end up with 38 years.

If you take 4 out of the 38 for the adjustment of the calendar, you end up with 34 which is basically the ministry of Christ before the crucifixion.

If you look at Luke 19:42 you see that it says [Luk 19:42 KJV] 42 Saying, If thou hadst known, even thou, at least in this thy day, the things [which belong] unto thy peace! but now they are hid from thine eyes.

This is the end of that time frame.

The time period of Matt-John fit right there in the end time period.

Look at Mark 1:14-15

[Mar 1:14-15 KJV] 14 Now after that John was put in prison, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God, 15 And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.

The time has arrived. Just as it prophesied, the time is at hand.

I know this was probably a little bit difficult to follow because I don’t have visuals, but if you look up Richard Jordan’s video, he puts it on the blackboard and explains it really well. I tried to quote it as best as I could but without the visual I don’t know how clear it is.

Thus John the Baptist calls Israel to repentance. His message of “repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand,” is exactly what was needed in order for that favored nation to prepare for her Messiah’s arrival.

Remember, God chose the Nation of Israel as His earthly nation/agency. He gave the Nation Israel the Law. Gentile salvation was available only through the Nation Israel. God’s prophetic purpose is to restore the headship of Jesus Chris over planet earth through the instrumentality of a kingdom vested in the nation Israel.
