Must Christians Support Israel? My Reaction to the Tucker Carlson - Ted Cruz Interview

In light of the recent Israel - Iran conflict in the Middle East, a number of popular commentators have strongly expressed distain for the idea of America supporting Israel's side. While some rightly advocate that American taxpayer dollars and resources should benefit Americans first, and also rightly wish to avoid another endless war with American troops in foreign countries, some go further into questioning whether the Bible instructs Christians to support Israel. What is the biblical foundation for this subject? Why do many Christians feel that Israel has been "replaced" by the Church? Does Israel still have a future in God's redemptive program for humanity? Or, are all of the promises made to Israel to be understood as now being fulfilled allegorically in the Church? These questions came to the forefront in a recent interview of US Senator Ted Cruz who was a guest on the Tucker Carlson Show. In this video we will critique an intense exchange between the two men regarding Israel and Christianity, and take a deep dive into exploring these questions from a biblical standpoint.
