In India, monsoons have wreaked havoc in the northern state of Himachal Pradesh. More than 60 people have died, and around 40 are feared missing as heavy rains triggered multiple cloudbursts, flash floods, and landslides. Hundreds of houses have been destroyed in the deluge, and several roads and bridges have been washed away. A heavy rain alert has been issued for the entire state till Monday, and security forces have been rushed in to carry out relief and search-and-rescue operations.
