Week in review: Big Ugly Bill, Welcoming Syria, Trusting Germany and Xi’s Downfall?

On this 4th of July episode, we let our American correspondents have the day off so we pre-recorded segments for today’s week in review.

American correspondent Andrew Milller discusses the “big beautiful bill” which in reality is anything from beautiful and he shows how if things don’t change America will continue to spiral out of control. He also shares alarming and saddening statistics about Americans pride in their country.

Besides America’s bulging debt, it is also normalising relations with Syria, which Middle East correspondent Mihailo Zekic explains will have dire consequences. Also, despite dropping bombs America is planning on continuing nuclear talks with Iran at the historic location of Oslo.

Maybe it is because it is the 4th of July but America appears in the European news section as well because they are partnering with Germany for the building of F35 jets. Germany is now going to be a partner in constructing the most important component of F35 jets. Once enemies, now weapons partners. Has Germany changed or is America being extremely naive?
