Rarely does the public question the safety of the food that is commonly eaten in the US. But the fact is that many foods have a significantly increased risk of chronic disease. On this cultural holiday, we look closely at every one of the items on the menu for a traditional Fourth of July meal with a focus on the carcinogenic impact of these foods. What we have uncovered is the fact that these standard menu items all raise a significant risk for cancer. Could this be why over 40% of Americans will develop cancer at least once in their lifetime?
