Joel, a minister like his deceased father, was raised by his religious grandmother after both of his parents were killed in a car accident.

Joel's childhood best friend, K, abandoned his faith And his religious upbringing and ambitiously moved to New York City to get the bag, bag the females and become an household named big time actor.

Joel, still living in the country, becomes dissatisfied, disenchanted & disillusioned with the modern day relevance of his understanding inherited by his particular brand of CHRISTIANITY and decides to leave North Carolina and take a "time out from religion trip" to New York, to visit K, his cousin and find himself.

While awaiting Joel's arrival, K visits a bar and meets an aggressive, single minded attractive female, who holds a reputation at the bar with many of the patrons and bartenders as an unusual, independent, free spirited "Temptress".

But...

Little do they know, that beneath the surface, in the shadowy cloak of darkness, cast by this apparently beautiful Temptress, dwells an equal but completely opposite ugly Beast....
