Israeli Attacks Kill Dozens Including Medics
In the past 24 hours alone, over 100 Palestinians have been killed in Israeli air raids, according to medical sources. Among the dead are at least three children who were killed when an Israeli strike targeted a residential area in Deir el-Balah.
Al-Aqsa Hospital, already on the verge of collapse, is overwhelmed by the wounded, while grieving families bury their dead under the constant threat of more attacks. In Khan Younis, survivors of an Israeli assault on the al-Mawasi displacement camp pick through the ruins of their homes. One young girl is reportedly the sole surviving member of her family.
Israeli airstrikes also killed Dr Marwan al-Sultan, director of Gaza’s Indonesian Hospital, along with his wife and children.
Makeshift shelters in densely populated areas continue to be bombed, further endangering the lives of over two million Palestinians trapped in Gaza.
Many describe the ongoing Israeli campaign as a war on the civilian population, marked by indiscriminate killings, forced displacement, starvation, and the unbearable trauma of children orphaned by the violence.
Al Jazeera's Hani Mahmoud reports from Gaza City, Palestine.
Israeli forces are intensifying their demolition campaign across the occupied West Bank, targeting Palestinian homes and structures in refugee camps and villages.
Since January, hundreds of homes have been razed in three refugee camps, with hundreds more slated for destruction.
This forms part of Israel's most extensive and destructive assault on the West Bank in decades.
The demolitions extend beyond refugee camps, affecting Palestinians who lack Israeli-issued building permits, which are rarely granted.
In Masafer Yatta, southern West Bank, nearly 1,200 Palestinians, including over 500 children, face potential displacement as Israeli forces plan to demolish structures in 13 Bedouin communities, citing interference with military training.
Critics argue these actions are part of a broader strategy to isolate Palestinian communities, expand illegal settlements, and potentially pave the way for future annexation of the occupied territory.
Al Jazeera's Nida Ibrahim reports.
