How to Breed Betta Fish:
Breeding Betta fish requires preparation, patience, and proper care. Here's a general overview of the process:

Choose Healthy Breeding Pair
Select a vibrant, healthy male and female Betta at least 4–6 months old. The male should have long, flowing fins and display strong coloration, while the female should have visible vertical breeding stripes and a rounded belly.

Condition the Pair
Feed both fish a high-protein diet for 1–2 weeks, including live or frozen foods like bloodworms, brine shrimp, and daphnia. This helps increase fertility and readiness for breeding.

Prepare a Breeding Tank
Use a 5–10 gallon tank with warm, clean water (78–82°F or 25–28°C), a sponge filter, and a lid (to keep humidity for bubble nest building). Add hiding spots like plants or a plastic cup for the female to retreat.

Introduce the Fish
Place the female in a clear container inside the tank so the male can see her. The male will begin building a bubble nest on the water surface. When the female shows interest (vertical stripes, submissive posture), release her.

Spawning Behavior
The male will court the female and wrap around her during spawning. The female releases eggs, and the male fertilizes them. He collects the eggs and places them in the bubble nest.

Remove the Female
After spawning is complete, remove the female immediately to prevent aggression. The male will care for the eggs and guard the nest.

Egg Hatching & Fry Care
Eggs hatch in 24–48 hours. The male continues to care for the fry until they become free-swimming (about 3 days later). Then, remove the male to avoid him eating the fry.

Feeding the Fry
Start feeding the fry infusoria or liquid fry food. After a few days, switch to baby brine shrimp or microworms.
