What a load of garbage — shame on the council!
You have to ask, is this what NZ is coming to? More mosques, temples, and idol statues — even without planning and building consent!

Having been pastoring for over 43 years here in NZ and being involved in spiritual matters, I have seen many people delivered (exorcism) from evil spirits. Whether you believe in the spiritual realm or not, I can tell you that those who have been delivered, now set free, certainly do. They know the bondage and oppression of evil.

Many years ago, there was a large number of people being killed in car crashes in Dome Valley, just north of where they are placing this idol. The police (this is documented) approached us and asked us as a church to pray for this area.

As a church, for 3 years, we prayed, we fasted, and we sent teams up to Dome Valley to pray. The fatal accidents dropped dramatically and even stopped. This was reported in the newspaper at the time and recognised in official records.

Yet incredibly, some “silly/unbelieving” people wrote in — “We don’t want any of this hocus pocus going on.”
Well, guess what? Now with this idol being erected, I can tell you it will not bring blessings to the area. In fact, the opposite will happen.

I am calling on NZ, the government, and the people, to do as the Bible says: “Choose this day whom you will serve. As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”
