How I Installed My Wheel Chocks for Hauling a Side-by-Side on a Trailer.
Video Highlights:

- Positioning the Side-by-Side: I’m working with a 12’ x 6’ trailer that’s a snug fit for a standard two-door side-by-side. I show how I center the vehicle and assess space before deciding on chock placement.
- Marking & Drilling: I walk through how I mark the bolt locations, drill into the trailer floor, and secure the chocks.
- Strapping Down: With the chocks installed, I demonstrate how to use ratcheting straps over the tires to lock everything down safely.
- Final Tips: I dive into the Working Load Limit (WLL) of the original Erickson straps I used. After running the numbers, I realized the 1,500 lb rating wasn't sufficient for my 1,400 lb Polaris Ranger—especially in emergency braking situations, where WLL needs to be three times the load. That led me to switch to a different brand. I also explain the importance of checking both Load Capacity and Tensile Strength when choosing your strap setup.
