Christmas tree family farm
Many of us have great memories of going to a local tree farm and finding that perfect one: the one tree that will be the center piece for a home this holiday season. Richard Wojchik and his family have been selling trees in Pulaski for nearly three decades. But the land that holds the fresh firs and spruces has been in his family for much longer than that. "My grandpa bought 40 acres at a time and eventually ended up with 120 acres,” Wojchik explains. “And in 1892, they settled this area and made a dairy farm out of a wooded area." Over the years the family has sold off some of the acres. In 1989 they started growing and later selling Christmas trees The Wojchik family tree farm spans around 15 acres and holds around 10,000 Christmas trees that range from ones just sprouting from the ground to bigger ones that can go in a living room. Luke Wojchik, Richard’s grandson, is the next family member to take control of the farm. The message they want to convey this holiday season you can never go wrong with a real tree.
