Israel Bombs Gaza Cafe
More than 30 Palestinians were killed yesterday in the bombing of the Al-Baqa Resort on the Gaza seaside. The Al-Baqa Resort was a civilian rest area, not a military target, where people sought shade and sea breeze.
An Israeli naval strike targeted the seaside cafe in Gaza, killing more than 30 civilians, including women, children and journalists, as they sought respite from displacement camps. The attack—which hit without warning—turned the cafe, a vital hub for internet access and leisure, into a scene of horror: bloodstained tables, scattered shoes, and body parts wrapped in tablecloths. Survivors condemned the strike as part of a systematic "War on Life" in Gaza, where at least 85 Palestinians were killed in total on Monday amid relentless assaults. Simultaneously, 15 Palestinians died at an aid distribution centre, while evacuation orders raised fears of further attacks. The cafe, hosting a children’s birthday party, had no military ties—only civilians torn apart by what witnesses called an "unpredictable foreign bomb." With flesh still clinging to shattered furniture, the attack epitomized Gaza’s daily reality under siege.

The UN warns thousands of Gaza infants risk starvation as Israel’s blockade has depleted all formula milk. Doctors report a ‘silent catastrophe’, with 66 children already dead from malnutrition and 580 fragile infants at Nasser Hospital in critical danger. Mothers, too starved to breastfeed, watch helplessly as babies wail from hunger. Israeli authorities ban formula imports, leaving pharmacies empty and families desperate. At Al-Aqsa Hospital, the last medical-grade formula has run out. A pediatrician describes infants’ bodies shutting down with no safe alternatives.

Since Israel’s war on Gaza began, the United Nations Security Council has held over 30 meetings on the conflict.
Another meeting was held on Monday while protesters rallied outside.
They say they are frustrated with how little the security council has achieved.
Al Jazeera’s Gabriel Elizondo reports from the UN headquarters, New York.
