In this recording, my classmates and I share our experience with the Explore Program. My voice is the beginning of the video. In this recording, my classmates and I share our experience with the Explore Program. My voice is the beginning of the video. Special thanks to Laura Noceta and Olivia Waterman for lending their voices, as well as Joyce Qian for adding visual effects.

Tacicia: Hello everyone! My name is Tacicia. In spring 2016, I participated in the Explore Program at Montreal. It’s a very lively city. there are a lot of interesting things to do, like festivals, museums and concerts.

Tacicia: In the Explore Program, we attended French courses and workshops to improve our French proficiency. Our professors were very cool. They gave us advice and strategies to write and speak better in French. We practiced our (listening) comprehension while watching videos and during discussions.

Tacicia: Our workshops are very interesting. They gave us a lot of practice speaking. My favourite workshop was the trip to Radio-Canada. I’m very passionate about radio techniques, so this was a good exercise for me. We did a simulation of a radio broadcast.

Tacicia: Do you like the environment? You can discover he charm of a classic village like Quebec or have fun with an activity at Lafontaine park.

Tacicia: I asked other people to share their positive experiences with the Explore program.

Olivia: Me, I come from a very English-speaking city, so, my favourite part of the program is the opportunity to speak French in stores.

Laura: Explore was an unforgettable experience. I’m really sad that it’s already over. I wish I was able to stay longer in Montreal to improve my French and to continue to explore this beautiful city.

Tacicia: Bonjour tout le monde! Je m'appelle Tacicia. Au printemps deux mille seize, j'ai participé au programme Explore à Montréal. C'est une ville très vivante. Il y a beaucoup de choses intéressantes à faire, comme les festivals, les musées et les concerts.

Tacicia: Au programme Explore, nous sommes allés au cours de français et aux ateliers de communication, pour améliorer nos compétences en français. Nos professeurs étaient très cool. Ils nous ont donné beaucoup de conseils et stratégies pour écrire et parler mieux en français. Nous avons pratiqué notre compréhension orale en regardant les vidéos et en faisant les discussions.

Tacicia: Nos ateliers sont très intéressants. Ils nous donnent beaucoup de pratique de communication orale. Mon atelier favori était la sortie à Radio-Canada. Je suis très passionnée par les techniques de radio, alors c'est un bon exercice pour moi. Nous avons fait une simulation d'une émission de radio. Tacicia: Aimez-vous l'environnement? Vous pouvez découvrir le charme d'un village classique comme Québec ou vous amuser avec une activité au parc Lafontaine .

Tacicia: J'ai demandé aux autres personnes de partager leur expériences positives du programme Explore.

Olivia: Moi, je viens d'une ville très anglophone, donc, ma chose favorite de ce programme est l'opportunité de parler en français dans les magasins.”

Laura: Explore était une expérience mémorable! Je suis très triste que ça se termine déjà. Je souhaite pouvoir rester plus longtemps à Montréal pour améliorer mon français et pour continuer d’explorer cette belle ville.
