Due to the dumb reconciliation protocol, thank you (not) Mr. KKK himself, Robert Byrd, the max the congress can do on the Social Security Tax is give a credit, total bummer and disappointment.
What makes all of this so infuriating is that congress started taxing SSA due to its upcoming insolvency. That's the lie, and it was a lie, and everyone knew it. It was yet another grift and rip off of the American taxpayer. The money they took from retiree's never went to make SSA solvent.
Oh, in case you forgot, if you were born from 1960 on, your retirement age is now 67, NOT 65. Surprise!
