‘Netherworld Covenant’ - Launch Trailer

Netherworld Covenant looks like yet another RPG Roguelike/Soulslike, but shows promise considering the developer MadGoat Game Studio is only a two-man team. Most isometric action-RPGs play more like Diablo and Path of Exile: killing mobs of enemies for tons of XP, and getting mountains of loot as a reward. Netherworld Covenant favors precision and strategy over brute force in its combat. Combat is slower, but more focused. You have a choice of four different spirit companions to choose from: Swordsman, Guardian, Ranger, and Rogue, who will assist you with special abilities.

The Early Access version currently has four chapters and bosses to play through, plus nine primary weapons, four secondary weapons, and over 100 different skill combos, with about 8-10 hours of playtime. Another chapter will be added this month, plus several more over the next 3-6 months during the Early Access period. Not to mention more relics, side-challenges, and difficulty modes.

Netherworld Covenant is out now on PC in Early Access.
