What the Left Really Wants: Star Treks Fascist Militarist Oligarchy

The Federation claims to be a post-scarcity egalitarian utopia, but it functions through:

Military hierarchy

Unaccountable governance

Cultural imperialism

Blind obedience to technocratic authority

So if some on the Left idolize Star Trek’s future, they may be unconsciously endorsing a benevolent form of authoritarianism — one that looks ideal only because the writers say the rulers are “good.”
