Want to grow microgreens indoors on a budget? I built a custom grow light using 3D printed parts, cheap LEDs, and an AliExpress driver — all for about $2.50 USD / $3.40 AUD.
This isn’t a full build tutorial — just a quick overview and demo of the setup, including the results after 2 days of growth under the light.
🪴 Cost Breakdown:
- Red LEDs (5 of 100): ~$0.75 AUD ($0.49 USD)
- Blue LEDs (5 of 100): ~$0.25 AUD ($0.16 USD)
- LED Driver: ~$2.40 AUD ($1.56 USD)
- 3D printing + recycled power cord
💡 Total Parts Cost: ~$3.40 AUD / ~$2.21 USD
