CT Should Not Let A Private Business Use State Land For Free

Article I, Section I of Connecticut's Constitution states, "...no man or set of men are entitled to exclusive public emoluments or privileges from the community." Here, the legislature voted to give a single private business a benefit to use state land for commercial purposes, without compensation in return. On its face a public emolument. On the other hand, every action of the legislature, no matter how egregious, is "deemed Constitutional" unless and until challenged and overturned by our courts. One would think that since the Democrats are raising taxes (again) that they would see fit to ask for compensation for this commercial use of state land. #CTweCANdoBETTER
