At Least Two Firefighters Shot Dead In Ambush While Battling Blaze In Idaho

At Least two people, believed to be fire personnel, have been fatally shot in an ambush while responding to a brush fire in northern Idaho.
Crews responded to a fire at Canfield Mountain just north of Coeur d’Alene around 1:30pm with gunshots reported about half an hour later.
Kootenai County Sheriff Robert Norris said authorities are under sniper fire while hunting for the killer and, "We still have civilians that are coming off of that mountain. We have we might have civilians that are stuck or in shock on that mountain.”
The blaze is still active, and it is unknown if anyone else has been shot or injured at this stage.
