Mark Hamill speaks out on his disagreement with The Last Jedi director Rian Johnson over the characterization of Luke Skywalker.

During the promotional period for The Last Jedi, Mark Hamill expressed his disagreement with the director on the backstory for Luke Skywalker and what he would have done instead to get the hero of the original trilogy and transform him into a bitter recluse. Mark Hamill is now trying to make amends over this because many fans agree with Hamill in that Johnson ruined the character of Luke Skywalker; however, the backstory Mark Hamill came up with is even worse than what we got.
