WHAT'S THE POINT???

Are there days when you prosper more than others? Are there days when you need to keep silence and days when you need to speak? Are there times to love and are there times to hate? The Book of Ecclesiastes is an account of Solomon trying to find peace, joy, and contentment through any source but God. Solomon sought peace, joy, and contentment through earthly means – through riches, through earthly wisdom, through physical pleasures, through anything but the LORD. And Solomon was rightly miserable because he was so steeped in sin. He was NOT willing to repent of his sins. Solomon just went from one sin to the next sin, hoping for a better result with each new sinful experience. And when each one failed to give Solomon lasting peace, joy, and contentment, he looked at it as: “That’s just the way it is.” And that is the problem with fatalism. There is no hope in fatalism.
